The number five represents good luck and good fortune. In numerology, the number five craves adventure, freedom, and excitement in order to feel genuinely fulfilled. The number five is also a symbol of a human being - having five fingers, five toes, and four limbs that are controlled by one head.
This painting was called “Five” to encompass the above sense – two humans with both masculine and feminine energies (which are both present in each and everyone one of us, regardless of gender), intertwined in pure joy and bliss. They are completely unfettered within themselves, each other, and the world around them. Both figures ignite each other while providing a safe space for each to rise.
This painting is also a reminder to allow joy in our life and to spread that joy to others.
Here’s a little background of how this painting started and the evolution it has undergone to ultimately become what it needed and wanted to be.
